An interactive timeline platform designed for Shakuf, an independent news organization.
The Challenge
News platforms present information in reverse chronological feeds, making it difficult to understand how complex events evolve over time.
the Solution
The platform restructures fragmented news articles into a clear chronological narrative. Instead of overwhelming users with full-length content, it presents headlines with short contextual summaries, editor-defined anchor points that highlight key turning moments, and a sticky mini-map that supports orientation within complex stories. Readers can quickly grasp the bigger picture while choosing when to dive deeper through links to the original articles.
My Role
Part of a team of 3 designers and 3 developers.
Led the page structure and information hierarchy, created the wireframes, and developed the visual language of the interface.
Early Structure & Exploration

The first concept explored a horizontal timeline. Later, due to technical constraints, the structure was redesigned into a vertical scrolling experience.
